The Taurus TX‑22 Compact is a striker-fired .22 LR semi-automatic pistol built for reliability, capacity, and shooting comfort. It features a 13+1 round staggered polymer magazine, making it ideal for training and recreational use without frequent reloading.
The 3.6" (91.4 mm) alloy barrel is threaded and protected by a removable cap, making the gun suppressor or compensator-ready from the start. The black hard-anodized aluminum slide is lightweight and includes slide-lightening cuts for smoother operation. A textured polymer frame with a MIL‑STD‑1913 accessory rail under the barrel allows attachment of tactical lights or lasers.
Optics-ready via the TORO system, the slide accepts micro red-dot sights with Shield RMSc / Holosun K footprints. Sights consist of a fixed white-dot front and a drift-adjustable serrated rear. It's a single-action-only (SAO) pistol with a trigger safety and optional ambidextrous manual safety.
The TX‑22 Compact measures approx. 170 mm (6.7") in length, 125 mm (4.9") in height, and about 32 mm (1.25") in width. It weighs roughly 468 g (16.5 oz) unloaded. Notably, its grip and frame dimensions mimic popular compact 9 mm pistols, providing a familiar hand-feel for shooters transitioning between calibers.
Ambidextrous features include manual safety, trigger block, reversible magazine release, and slide stop. Field stripping is tool-free and user-friendly. The pistol ships with two 13-round magazines, a thread adapter, thread protector, and magazine loader.
