Built upon the legendary 590A1 platform, this model has earned a reputation for exceptional durability, reliability, and performance under the most demanding conditions.
Chambered for 12/76 (12 Gauge, 3") shotshells, the shotgun utilizes a proven pump-action system featuring dual action bars for smooth and reliable cycling. The design incorporates dual extractors, a steel-to-steel bolt lockup, an anti-jam elevator, and Mossberg’s signature top-mounted ambidextrous safety, providing dependable operation and intuitive handling.
The shotgun is equipped with a tubular magazine offering a capacity of 8+1 rounds, ensuring substantial onboard ammunition for defensive, duty, or tactical use. The design also includes a clean-out magazine tube, allowing simplified maintenance and easier servicing after extended use.
The 20" (508 mm) heavy-walled barrel is engineered for increased durability and long service life. A fixed Cylinder Bore choke makes the shotgun particularly effective for defensive and close-range tactical applications where wide shot patterns are desirable.
Both the barrel and metal components are protected by a durable Tungsten Cerakote polymer-ceramic finish, providing outstanding resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. The receiver is optic-ready and allows direct mounting of micro red-dot sights utilizing the RMSc footprint. The sighting system consists of a robust metal Ghost Ring rear sight paired with a protected fiber-optic front sight, offering rapid target acquisition and improved visibility in varying lighting conditions.
The shotgun is fitted with a Magpul SGA adjustable stock, allowing users to tailor the fit through interchangeable spacer inserts. The length of pull (LOP) is adjustable from 12.25" to 14.25" (311–362 mm), enabling comfortable use by shooters of different sizes and when wearing body armor or tactical gear.
