CZ DUTY represents a new generation of striker-fired pistols with a patented modular chassis, an improved trigger system, advanced ergonomics and a modern Optics-Ready interface for direct mounting of red dot sights. The modular chassis integrates the firearm's functional components and allows configurations with different grip modules, barrel lengths and magazine capacities.
The pistol features a three-level mechanical safety system designed to prevent unintended discharge, including a drop safety, trigger safety and shortened disconnector that prevents firing until the slide is fully locked. The pistol can be field-stripped without pulling the trigger, further simplifying maintenance and handling.
The patented striker-fired trigger system provides a smooth pull, a distinct break and a short reset. The optimized center of gravity and ergonomic grip geometry allow the pistol to return naturally to the point of aim after firing. The grip incorporates a cutout for improved magazine handling, while the textured magazine baseplate provides better control during reloads.
Ergonomics are based on the CZ DiFEND methodology, with a grip geometry designed to accommodate a wide range of hand sizes. The improved grip texture and three interchangeable grip modules in S, M and L sizes allow the configuration to be adapted to individual preferences. Extended front and rear slide serrations, together with fully ambidextrous controls, further facilitate handling for both right- and left-handed shooters.
The CZ DUTY is designed for long-term durability, with the manufacturer guaranteeing a service life of 50,000 rounds, or 25,000 rounds when using overpressure DM51 ammunition, including 10,000 rounds without replacement of parts. The design has been tested according to NATO STANAG AC/225, including drop, water and dirt tests. Production accuracy and function are individually checked, with each pistol zeroed at 25 m. The slide is subject to dimensional inspection of more than 200 dimensions and tolerances.
The pistol features a corrosion-resistant nitrided finish developed by CZ and a cold hammer forged barrel. The frame is made of glass-fiber-reinforced polymer. The Optics-Ready system allows direct mounting of red dot sights from Trijicon, Shield, Holosun and Leupold, while additional mounting plates are available for selected Aimpoint, Colt Optics and Holosun models.
New three-dot sights with luminescent or tritium elements are optimized for use with red dot sights and positioned to remain visible in the lower third of the optic window. The pistol is supplied with 17- or 19-round magazines, with optional +2 extended baseplates available. The magazines feature a low-friction finish, contrasting follower, witness holes and textured baseplates for reliable handling.
