PT-809 E, stainless

The Taurus PT-809 E in stainless steel is a modern semi-automatic service pistol chambered in 9×19 mm, combining durable metal components with a polymer frame and a stainless steel slide. It was developed as part of a platform originally designed for military use by the Brazilian armed forces. The pistol operates on the proven Browning tilting-barrel system, locking into the ejection port. It features a 4-inch barrel and an overall length of approximately 200 mm.

The PT-809 E offers ambidextrous controls, including a manual safety and slide stop, as well as an external hammer with a de-cocker for safe carry. The trigger mechanism is DA/SA (double-action/single-action), allowing for both modes of operation. Additional safety features include a firing pin block and a loaded chamber indicator. The standard magazine holds 17 rounds. The grip is ergonomically shaped with interchangeable backstraps to accommodate different hand sizes, and the frame is equipped with a Picatinny accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers.

The stainless finish of the slide enhances corrosion resistance and wear protection while giving the pistol a distinctive two-tone appearance. The Taurus PT-809 E is well-suited for service use, personal defense, or sport shooting applications.
