The Mossberg 590A1 Professional Series Magpul 7-Shot is a professional-grade pump-action shotgun designed for law enforcement, defensive, and tactical applications. Built on the proven 590A1 platform, it delivers exceptional durability, reliability, and consistent performance even under the most demanding conditions.
Chambered for 12/76 (12 Gauge, 3") shotshells, the shotgun operates via a rugged pump-action system with dual action bars, ensuring smooth and dependable cycling. Standard features include dual extractors, a steel-to-steel bolt lockup, an anti-jam elevator, and Mossberg’s signature top-mounted ambidextrous safety for intuitive operation in all conditions.
This configuration features a tubular magazine with a capacity of 6+1 rounds, offering a more compact loadout compared to higher-capacity variants. The reduced capacity is paired with improved maneuverability, making it well suited for confined spaces and dynamic tactical use. A clean-out magazine tube is included for simplified maintenance and field servicing.
The 18.5" (470 mm) heavy-walled barrel provides a strong balance between compact handling and effective ballistic performance. It is fitted with a fixed Cylinder Bore choke, making it particularly effective for close-range defensive and tactical scenarios.
All metal components are protected by a durable Tungsten Cerakote polymer-ceramic finish, offering excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and harsh environmental exposure. As with other 590A1 models, it features a metal trigger guard and metal safety button, reinforcing its rugged, duty-ready construction.
The receiver is optic-ready and supports direct mounting of micro red-dot sights using the RMSc footprint. The sighting system consists of a robust metal Ghost Ring rear sight paired with a protected fiber-optic front sight, ensuring fast target acquisition and high visibility in varying lighting conditions.
The shotgun is equipped with a Magpul SGA adjustable stock, allowing length-of-pull adjustment via interchangeable spacers. The length of pull (LOP) ranges from 12.25" to 14.25" (311–362 mm), enabling a customized fit for different users and tactical gear configurations.
With an overall length of 38" (965 mm) and a weight of approximately 7 lbs (3.2 kg), the shotgun offers excellent maneuverability while maintaining the durability and strength expected from the 590A1 series.
