The SXP Defender – Kryptec Typhon is a 12/76 pump-action shotgun built on the Super X Pump (SXP) platform. The design combines compact dimensions, durable materials, and a Kryptec Typhon camouflage finish applied across the major components of the firearm.
The shotgun features a 457 mm (18") steel barrel utilizing Back-Bored Technology. The barrel is finished in Kryptec Typhon camouflage and incorporates a chrome-plated chamber and bore to enhance resistance to wear and corrosion. The shotgun utilizes the Invector-Plus™ Flush interchangeable choke system and is supplied with a Cylinder choke tube.
The receiver is manufactured from aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish and is drilled and tapped for the installation of an optics mounting base. The receiver, barrel, stock, and forend all feature the Kryptec Typhon camouflage pattern. The composite stock is fitted with an Inflex Technology Recoil Pad designed to help reduce perceived recoil.
Sighting equipment consists of a brass bead front sight complemented by a removable TRUGLO® fiber-optic sight. Additional features include sling swivel studs and textured grip panels to enhance handling.
The action utilizes dual action bars and a four-lug rotary bolt that provides secure lock-up. The bolt and moving components are protected with a matte black chrome finish. Ammunition is fed from a tubular magazine with a 5+1 round capacity.
Overall length measures 978 mm, length of pull is 349 mm, and weight is approximately 2.95 kg. The combination of a compact barrel, Invector-Plus™ choke system, and durable Kryptec Typhon finish makes the SXP Defender a versatile shotgun built on the proven SXP platform.
