The Remington 700 Alpha 1 Hunter is a modern bolt-action rifle based on the proven Remington 700 platform and enhanced with a range of features focused on accuracy, ergonomics, and reliable performance. This configuration is chambered in .308 Winchester and features a 22-inch barrel with a black finish, 5R rifling, and a 5/8"-24 threaded muzzle. The barrel is finished with an 11-degree target crown, while its fluted profile helps reduce weight while maintaining rigidity.
The round receiver features a precision-ground recoil lug for consistent action bedding and an enlarged ejection port. The one-piece spiral-fluted bolt body features a replaceable bolt handle, while a sleek external bolt release is positioned on the left side of the receiver. The firing pin assembly can be disassembled without tools. The internal magazine box is extended to accommodate longer cartridge cases, while the rifle has a four-round capacity.
A straight Timney Elite Hunter trigger provides a crisp trigger pull of 3 lb (approximately 1.36 kg). The ergonomic AG Composite carbon fiber stock is finished in gray and fitted with a Pachmayr recoil pad to help reduce felt recoil. An aluminum Oberndorf-style trigger guard complements the rifle's robust construction. A Picatinny rail provides a solid mounting interface for an optic and is secured using 8-40 scope mounting screws.
