Remington 783 Synthetic Compact 20" .308 Win is a bolt-action rifle designed with a focus on accuracy and consistent performance. It features a 20" (50.8 cm) barrel with precision button rifling and a black synthetic stock with a high nylon-fiber content for increased strength and rigidity. The dual-pillar bedding platform free-floats the barrel to help maintain consistent shot-to-shot performance.

The rifle is equipped with an adjustable CrossFire trigger for precise shot control. It uses a steel detachable magazine with a steel latch and a capacity of 4 rounds in .243 Win. The rifle is configured for right-hand operation and features a Blued finish.
