The Heckler & Koch USP Compact is a compact semi-automatic pistol based on the proven USP platform, designed for concealed carry, duty use and personal defense. It combines high reliability, robust construction and precision typical of Heckler & Koch, while maintaining compact dimensions for everyday use.
The pistol is chambered in 9 × 19 mm and operates on a recoil-operated system with a modified Browning locking mechanism. This model variant is delivered with SA/DA trigger mechanism, featuring a 14 mm trigger travel and a 7 mm reset. Feeding is provided by a magazine with a capacity of 13 rounds.
The 91 mm (3.58") barrel is made from cold hammer-forged steel with a polygonal bore (6 grooves, right-hand twist) and a hard chrome lining, ensuring long service life and consistent ballistic performance. Muzzle velocity reaches approximately 357 m/s, with a muzzle energy of around 510 J.
The frame is constructed from a high-strength polymer, resulting in a low unloaded weight of 650 g, while maintaining excellent durability. The overall length is 173 mm, width 34 mm, height 127 mm, with a 136 mm sight radius.
Ergonomics are designed for safe and reliable handling under all conditions. The grip features an anti-slip texture for a secure hold even when wet. Controls are designed for easy operation by both right- and left-handed users, and the control lever allows for safe decocking of the hammer (decocker).
The pistol is equipped with open 3-Dot contrast sights with self-illuminating capability, enabling fast target acquisition in low-light conditions. Rear slide serrations provide a secure grip during manipulation, even with gloves or wet hands.
The design allows tool-free disassembly into main components, simplifying maintenance. The platform also supports conversion kits and a wide range of accessories.
