The Kimber Midnight Custom First Edition OR represents the debut limited release of Kimber’s Next Generation 1911 platform. This exclusive edition is limited to 500 pistols, marking the first production run of this enhanced 1911 design focused on performance, reliability, and optics readiness.
The entire pistol is finished in a durable DLC Gray finish, providing enhanced wear resistance and a distinctive appearance.
The Stainless steel slide features a DLC Gray finish, an external extractor, a flat-top slide with serrations, and thin elevated front and rear serrations. A ramped disconnector track ensures smoother operation.
The Stainless steel frame is also finished in DLC Gray. Frame width measures 1.35" (≈ 3.43 cm).
The 5" (127 mm) stainless steel barrel features a DLC Gray finish, a traditional bushing with deep crown, and a 1:16 twist rate (left hand) for proven accuracy.
The GT Performance Trigger is factory set at approximately 4.0–5.0 lb (≈ 17.8–22.2 N), delivering a consistent and crisp break.
The pistol utilizes a Mil-spec guide rod and a recoil spring rated at 16.0 lb (≈ 71.2 N).
Optics readiness is standard. Target models feature a cover plate with an adjustable rear sight and ship with a C&H Precision optic adapter plate – RMR footprint. The front sight is a TAG Precision FiberLok 2, with additional red and black fiber-optic inserts included.
Grips are crafted from walnut and covered in genuine shark skin by Southern Trapper®, adding a distinctive premium touch to this limited edition.
Overall dimensions are overall length: 8.6" (≈ 21.84 cm), height: 5.4" (≈ 13.72 cm), and weight with empty magazine of 1026 g. Magazine capacity is 7 rounds. Chambered in .45 ACP.
