Z9 magazine for Glock 43 - Powercron

The Shield Arms Z9 is a steel magazine designed for the Glock 43, increasing the standard capacity from 6 to 9 rounds while maintaining the same footprint as an OEM magazine with a pinky extension. This provides 50% greater capacity without requiring a larger magazine or significantly changing the pistol’s profile.

The magazine is manufactured from heat-treated steel and features a Powercron coating, a cationic epoxy electrocoat designed to provide enhanced corrosion resistance. This makes the Z9 particularly suitable for environments where the magazine may be exposed to moisture, perspiration or humidity. The impact-resistant, easily removable base pad allows convenient disassembly for cleaning and maintenance.

The Z9 uses a precision-engineered magazine geometry that allows the cartridges to be staggered more efficiently within the magazine body. It is made in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty, together with Shield Arms' Spring for Life guarantee covering replacement of the magazine spring for the lifetime of the product.

For optimal reliability, the Z9 requires a Shield Arms steel magazine catch. The manufacturer recommends replacing the OEM polymer catch with either the Standard or Premium Z-Series steel magazine catch. Use of the OEM plastic catch or a catch from another manufacturer may result in improper retention, premature magazine release or other reliability issues.
