The main component of single-base smokeless powders is nitrocellulose (90–98%). In addition, various other additives are used, such as stabilizers, surface deterrents, flame suppressants, and components that influence the burning characteristics. Most single-base powders manufactured by Explosia are surface-treated to achieve progressive burning.

This is a fast-burning, porous, single-base tubular powder intended primarily for .38 Special and .45 Auto cartridges. It can also be loaded for 7.65 Browning, 9 mm Makarov, and 9 mm Browning Court cartridges. It is our fastest-burning handgun powder.
