The Henry Lever Action Octagon is a classic lever-action rimfire rifle that pays tribute to the golden age of the American frontier while offering features appreciated by modern shooters. It combines Henry's legendary smooth lever action with a traditional octagon barrel inspired by the repeating rifles once carried by ranchers, hunters, lawmen, and settlers of the Old West.
The rifle's defining feature is its blued octagon barrel measuring 20" (508 mm), whose additional mass helps dissipate heat, enhances stability, and provides steadier handling during extended shooting sessions. Chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle, the barrel features a 1:16 twist rate, delivering excellent accuracy for recreational shooting, small-game hunting, and target applications.
The rifle utilizes Henry's proven lever-action mechanism, renowned for its exceptionally smooth and reliable cycling. Ammunition is fed from a tubular magazine mounted beneath the barrel with capacity 16 rounds, allowing the use of multiple rimfire cartridge types. Safety is provided by a traditional quarter-cock hammer position (1/4 Cock).
For quick and intuitive target acquisition, the rifle is equipped with a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a diamond insert and a prominent brass bead front sight, mounted in standard 3/8" dovetail slots. The receiver is grooved for 3/8" scope mounts, enabling shooters to add optics while preserving the rifle's classic appearance.
