The Mossberg 590 Retrograde is a 12-gaude pump-action shotgun that combines the classic appearance of early tactical shotguns with the proven Mossberg 590 platform. Traditional walnut furniture is paired with the rugged reliability of Mossberg's pump-action design.
The shotgun features a 470 mm (18.5") barrel with a matte blued finish. The barrel incorporates a fixed Cylinder Bore and a Heat Shield to help protect the shooter's hand during extended firing.
The receiver is drilled and tapped for optic mounting and incorporates dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lockup, and an anti-jam elevator for smooth and reliable cycling. Mossberg's signature top-mounted ambidextrous safety is also included.
The stock and Corncob forend are crafted from walnut. The fixed stock features a 13.87" (352 mm) length of pull and is fitted with a ventilated rubber recoil pad for improved shooting comfort.
A bead front sight is fitted for aiming. The tubular magazine provides a 6+1 round capacity. Overall length is 1003 mm (39.5"), while weight is approximately 3.18 kg (7 lb). The shotgun also features a Clean-Out Magazine Tube for simplified maintenance.
