Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered for .44 Remington Magnum cartridges, based on the proven Blackhawk platform designed for powerful sporting and hunting applications. The frame is made of stainless steel with a satin stainless finish, providing excellent corrosion resistance and the structural strength required for high-pressure magnum loads.

The revolver operates in a single-action system and is equipped with a transfer bar safety mechanism and a loading gate interlock, ensuring safe carry even with all chambers loaded. The cold hammer-forged barrel delivers ultra-precise rifling with a 1:20" RH twist rate, optimized for the heavier projectiles used in .44 Magnum. A fixed ramp front sight combined with an adjustable rear sight allows precise sight regulation for both target and field use. Internal durability is enhanced by robust coil springs throughout the mechanism, contributing to long-term reliability. Ergonomics are complemented by hardwood grips, offering a secure and natural point of aim even under heavy recoil.
