Taurus 605 is a compact double-action revolver chambered for .357 Magnum, while also accepting .38 Special +P ammunition. With its 5-round cylinder, small frame, and compact dimensions, it is well suited for concealed carry and personal protection, while the use of lighter .38 Special loads also makes it a practical option for training and target shooting.
The revolver operates in DA/SA mode, allowing it to be fired in both double-action and single-action operation. A transfer bar safety system provides an additional measure of protection against accidental discharge.
The stainless steel barrel measures 2" (51 mm) and features a 1:16.5" RH twist rate with six grooves. The frame and cylinder are made from alloy steel, while the finish combines a matte black barrel with a matte black oxide finish on the frame and cylinder.
The sighting system consists of a fixed front sight and fixed rear sight, contributing to a simple and durable configuration suitable for everyday carry. The cylinder has a capacity of 5 rounds.
With an overall length of 6.5" (165 mm), a height of 4.4" (112 mm), a width of 1.4" (36 mm), and an unloaded weight of approximately 24 oz (680 g), the Taurus 605 is a compact and robust revolver combining the power of .357 Magnum with the versatility of .38 Special +P ammunition.
