Bravo Company Recce-14 MCMR is a semi-automatic rifle on the AR-15 platform, designed as a versatile configuration combining compact dimensions, low weight, and reliability. The design combines upper and lower receivers made of 7075-T6 aluminum with a proven direct gas impingement system and components manufactured to military specifications.
The upper receiver is made of 7075-T6 aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish according to MIL-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2. It features a Flat Top configuration with M4 feed ramps and laser-engraved T-markings. The rifle uses a mid-length gas system.
The bolt and bolt carrier form a BCM® group manufactured from Carpenter No. 158® steel to MIL-SPEC. The carrier has a chrome-lined surface and a full-auto profile. The bolt is equipped with a tool-steel extractor and BCM® extractor spring, a black extractor insert, and a chrome-lined gas key hardened to USGI specifications. Components undergo HPT/MPI (High Pressure Test / Magnetic Particle Inspection), while the bolt carrier is additionally shot peened.
The lower receiver is likewise made of 7075-T6 aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish according to MIL-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2. The controls are marked SAFE and SEMI. The rifle is equipped with a BCM® Milspec 7075-T6 receiver extension, secured with an M4 lock nut, and a USGI H Buffer with one USGI tungsten weight and two steel weights.
The 14.5" (368 mm) barrel features a standard Government Profile, a 1:7" twist rate, and an M4 feed ramp extension. It is manufactured from certified MIL-SPEC 11595E barrel steel and has a manganese phosphate finish over its entire length. The bore and chamber are chrome lined according to USGI specifications for 5.56 mm NATO ammunition. The barrel is individually inspected using HPT/MPI methods in accordance with MIL-SPEC. The barrel length is 14.5", extending to 16"+ with the permanently attached compensator.
The rifle has an approximate weight of 6 lb (2.7 kg). Overall length is 31.5" (800 mm) with the stock collapsed and 34.5" (876 mm) with the stock extended. The complete rifle package includes one magazine, where permitted, a cable lock, a USGI manual, and the appropriate F.E.T. documentation.
